After 21 hours of work, the turbo has been removed, rebuilt, and reinstalled. I did the rebuild myself, and I have to say, it was easier than I thought, but I don't know if I'd want to do it again anytime soon.

I did learn a few things though.

1 - snap rings suck.2 - Cold Carb Cleaner rocks3 - Cold Carb Cleaner Will Clean off paint markings on your wheel/shaft assembly4 - Retapping the Turbine Housing is a chore and a half5 - snap rings suck6 - The man who invented lock tabs is made of pure evil.

the lock tab is placed at the manifold to turbo flange. It's purpose is to keep the nuts from backing off the studs. Their purpose is good, but it's such a pain to get off. You have to bend the tabs down so you can wrench the nuts off.
