its in NO way ironic...i typed it on purpose.

it just seems lately as soon as something sarcastic, smartelic, deragoratory, etc. is said on this forum about obama feelings seem to get hurt for some reason. but the democrats (and i am a democrat) are ready, willing, and able to bust out ANYTHING on the republican side. YOU'RE RIGHT...THERE IS AN OBVIOUS DOUBLE STANDARD.

Point in case - OP links a video of a reporter mixing his words up. YOU call him a troll in multiple posts & say the picture is him for posting the link to a video.

I don't see much trollage around here. I do see a doublestandard but politics breeds that. Both sides view things with their own personal slant and somewhere in the middle the truth lies I suspect.

I agree. i just never thought my own 'side' if you would, would open my eyes to the slant i had viewed - okay, the metaphor isnt working out. I never thought other democrats would push me to the more conservative republican side, but....they did & i digress.

For those who are interested, Qwerty1942 is actually member stopcamping who was banned by Greg on Aug 14th. Not wanting to wait out his ban he created this account on the 16th. I caught it yesterday and just banned this account a few minutes ago as I'm tired of playing with him.

There is a slight difference. I surf the web looking for breaking news in the blogs. I read other forums looking for leads to great tidbits of information. Some of it will pan out, some won't, but Nico is going to be among the first with it whatever it is. If there was a link to Obama running naked through the streets of DC, I'd post it with a snarky remark. Unfortunately there are two forces at work here. 1. There isn't any snark worthy reports of Obama to report. It seems that Palin has/will be the butt of more jokes than Dan Quale and Jerry Ford combined. I can't help that, she's comedy gold.2. The other side here is despirate. They will do anything (and rightly so) to refocus the attention from McCain's awesome selection of running mate.and3. I have no control over Matt (audtatious). He's really a great person and a valid contributor, it's just the pressure of having to defend Palin is getting to him a little.(well, a lot) I'm sure that nationally, there are many republicans who have started abusing valium after McCains announcment.

You need to really read a whole thread to see why I was picking at Qwerty1942.

I'm not sure where you think we are desperate. The Dems are the ones who bashed Bush for alcohol and drugs from over 25+ years ago and then they get pissy when we retaliate with Obama's admitted pot/cocaine use in which you then attack Cindy McCain for her admitted issues from years ago, attack Palin with accusations that the baby is not her's but a coverup for her daughter, then you attack her saying she caused her baby to have down's from not taking pre-natal vitamines and then attack Palin's husband who had a DUI 22 years ago and ran a stop sign.

You want to talk about sinking low, look in a mirror.
