the thing that looks like the o2 sensor???

i need to know if i can remove the little black box on the driverside, in the engine bay on the side of the strut tower....and i runs to this tube and that tube connects to the downpipe of my exuast...can i remove this whole unit and have no problems???and just plug up the down pipe???its a 91...thnks for ne help!!!

If it's a black plastic box connected to your manifold and stock airbox, then you can remove it, barring any emissions concerns. It's purpose is to dump fresh air in to the exhaust flow to help the cat work better on cold starts.

You can remove the box, plug the hole in the manifold (SPL used to make a nice plug for this) and then I think there are two or possibly three vacuum lines that you'll need to cap.
