So this past weekend me and some of my fellow car buddies decided to go to my grandparents country house. Located in the middle of no where upstate Newyork (beaverkill county). So on the way up we stopped at this pizza shop that is right on one of the local highways. My friend and I park in front of the pizza shop, my 240 next to his moded 350z. We all go inside get some pizza, order a pie and sit down. A couple minutes later a girl comes over and brings us our pizza. Then she says "you guys in a nissan club or something?, I see the 240 and 350z outside" I responded "kind of, really we just roll together" she replied "O because my brother that works here saw your cars and just went home to get his s13 to show you guys" We thought it was cool, we are always up for talking to a fellow nissan owner (and trying to recruit one for NICO ) So we finish eating and go outside to wait for this kid. A couple minutes pass and we talk about what we think the kid is going to roll up in. Keep in mind this is in the middle of no where. We didnt think it would be anythin special...just a regular s13 with light mods. Thats when the sickest 240 I have ever seen in person rolls up. Candy dark red hatch sporting a HKS front mount, s15 front and kouki tails. As i walk up to the car i see a set of gold Volk 5 spokes (5lug) and 300zx brakes. Upon looking into the car i see two bride seats (not sure the name but the ones that say bride all down them) and a full set of Defi blackout gauges. (he said it was over $2700 in gauges). Also chillen there is a greddy boost controler and turbo timer. So im blown away...this was what appeared to be a show car 240 that this guy was driving around. So anyways we get to talking and i ask him to pop his hood. Under the cf hood (which matched the cf wangan wing) was a redtop sr20. Sporting many mods such as a greddy intake manifold. Turns out his sr is pushing 365 hp to the wheels. He had many more engine mods but i really dont know jack about sr's so i cant tell you what they where. It was just an all around insane 240. And it was the nicest s15 conversion i have ever seen...the lines matched up perfect. He had real s15 fenders cut and welded. They where real metal and all. So after a long conversation me and my friends got back in our cars and continued our drive. But it just shocked me... this guy in the middle of nowhere has such a sick s13. He said he had over 8 grand into the engine and over 15 into the car But anyways we made a new friend and possibly recruted a new nico member (i handed him like 3 nico taggin cards)

and sorry but i dont have a pic...my friend has one or two on his digital camera and i will try to get them sent to me so i can post them 2moro

That sounds like a local S13 I see a lot here. Sr, Kouki taillights, a million different sweet mods, etc.

Wow... I may spend my insurance money on an S15 conversion. They look really good when the owner has enough money to paint them. The yellow headlights are a nice touch.

Also, I never noticed how the lines of the S15 head lights follow the lines of the S13 rear glass so closely.

EDIT: Nevermind, those things are way over priced for what you get! I'd rather not have to have full coverage on my 240. Still looks good though.

The nice thing about the yellow tinted headlights are you can still see the H.I.D.s through them as a stock S15, therefore you get the JDM yellow halogen secondary lights (high beams/fogs I don't know what he uses them for) with the functionality and legality of a regular H.ID low beam.

Nice story. But man, one or two only? One or two? Well at least you got his number. If I go up that way (I'm going to connecticut next week for 1 day, is that near upstate NY?) I'll try and hit him up.

So do S15's have HID lights from the factory with halogen fog lights? If so then $650ish for a pair isn't to bad of a price.

I believe the projector is the low beam, and the free form is the high beam, somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Also the S15 had the option of either halogen or HID. I suppose you can always stick an H3 halogen in the high beam free form and use it as a fog light if you have HID (You will probably have to creat a custom shield). HID virtually eliminates the need for high beams anyway.

I know I am the only one, but

YUCK.

S15 fronts look horrible on S13's. You say the lines match? Well look at the car from the back facing you leading to the front, and the lines change for the worse.

I am not saying it looks as bad as a R32 front conversion, but pretty damn close. Carry on...

Pfft, as bad as R32? You mean as bad as Sil-80s. Still can't believe people throw out perfectly good popups and PAY for that front end...

JDM Rice II, nuff said.

Come voice your opinion in the R32 thread. zerothread?id=128253

I don't think anybody has a problem with the cars posted there. Conversions usually look good when they aren't half assed.
