Hey guys (I hope i'm in the right section.) Just got my S14 blacktop (S14 chassis w/ sr transmission) in and everytime i engage the clutch, the car wants to die for some reason the clutch happens to be a exedy stage 2 if that has anything to do with it. UPDATE: we observed a little smoke coming from the transmission. I'm guessing it's improper installation but i want hear otherwise before i drop the transmission. I'm really desperate to get my baby on the road, i've been working on her for 3 months.....Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If it's out of gear it will idle fine? It is when you push in the clutch that it dies? sounds like the idler bearing is jacked.
