was hoping for a 7 game, extra innings fiasco with the sex coming from behind to win it

while nice for boston, was relatively boring

Ok,Im still a little bent and hate nothing more than Bandwagon Sox and Cubs fans around here (no I am not referring to the Sox fans on NICO). The Cards rolled over and played dead. ugh! Now I have to list to obstinate BoSox fans till next year starts.

I am already getting tired of all the threads.bud

I guess in the time it took the BoSox to break the "curse" the Yankees won 26 World Series.

In the time it took the BoSox to break the "curse" the Yankees won 26 World Series. Using this logic, the next time the BoSox win the World Series (2090) the Yankees will have 26 more for a total of 52 World Series wins.

Obviously the yankees wernt the better team, since they were up 3-0 and lost the series 4-3.records dont mean as much as hardware. Also dont start pulling ws champs from previous years because they really dont matter as much.

Yeah,You are right, being the most winning Franchise in America's Professional sports history means nothing. Hardware for Hardware, I think both teams (Yankees and Sox) have a pretty stacked team. When pointing out the fact of World Series Championships won, it wasn't like I was pulling from Ancient History to prove my point. In the last 10 years (pretty recent) the Yanks have won 4. I do find it funny when I am in Boston all the references to the Yankees. F* the Yanks and the Yankees Suck. Yet when I am in NYC, there are no references to the Sox. Imagine that.bud

the yanks just needed a better pitching staff. I didn't watch their regular season, but during the post season, it wasn't up to par. You can almost bet that there will be a new pitching staff next year.

During the ALCS, I dreaded every time the yankees batted. Every batter felt like another hit that was gonna close out the Sox again.

The cards did roll over. The series wasn't even a ballgame, it was a skunked game. I watched all 4 games, and I would rather watch the ALCS again instead. Maybe it was how exhausted I was after the ALCS that the series was boring.

I have liked boston for a while, but they're not my favorite team. My favorite team is probably the saddest team in the NL. The Reds. So it's nice to see a club win that everyone always puts down.

That's because the Yanks have won 26 times since we've won last!!!! Yankee fans have nothiong to complain about!

Nobody is saying that the yanks are a bad team, obviously they are great. But THIS YEAR... they got beat by the Red Sox. I think it only stands to reason that Sox fans have been bitter. Our team has broken our hearts year after year..... for EIGHTY SIX YEARS! Since the Yanks/Sox is the biggest rivalry in all of sports history, it's no surprise that sox fans would hold our grudge agains the yanks.

I do have to say, the true Cubs fans have been waiting a long time for a WS Championship (96 Years) and they probably deserve it.

I would like to see the WhiteSox or the Orioles win one here soon.bud

i don't think they've even made the NL playoffs since '91 (which I was there to watch them play the Dodgers)
