Well a lot of G35 owners know what I am talking about. The sound is the sound of the G35 exhaust at about 2,500 -3,000 RPM. It's the sound that made me turn my head the first time I heard and seen a G35. That thoaty sound that makes people take notice when you drive by. Well I just turned in my G35 for a new G37S and since I haven't driven the car with my windows down (live in Connecticut) it was only today that I really noticed that it didn't quite have "the sound". It's not bad but it's not "the sound". So need to know if anyone knows of a way (hopefully low cost) to get the sound. Do I need an new exhaust? New muffler? Can I modify the existing exhaust? Just wondering if anyone has done anything to their G37 to improve the exhaust sound.

Maybe you should of kept you're old car. But that wouldn't make sense for all you lease enthusiat's. Or maybe you should buy a car the 3 months out of the year that are window lowering times! Guess Who?

Well I'm looking for the original G35 sound. Seems like the G37 is not as powerful sounding.

I think it actually sounds better. If you want a little more sound for the cheapest price try some test pipes or HFC. (Just covering my a$$ here b/c I know i'll hear it if I don't) Test pipes are illegal on the street and if your state test emissions not the best of ideas unless you want to change them back before testing, but for the positives, test pipes are cheaper then HFC and add a little more power due to the free flowing. I've heard test pipes on the G37 in person and it sounds nasty kinda of like a Ferrari. HFC are legal and cost a little more, will lose 1-2 hp and 1-2 pounds of torque compared to test pipes, although some people say their is no difference. Hey up to you though bro GL on your choice

Do you have a recommendation of the test pipes or the HFC?

Well IMO I'd go Fast Intentions test pipes. How can you beat $229 shipped

Call them and ask for Tony he a good guy and will help you out.
