Might have air bubbles in the heater core. Try burping the coolant system.

There's actually a drain plug for the AC system back where the ECU sits underneath the glove box. If that line gets plugged up with "stuff" water will sit in there and that's what's giving you the running water sound as you accelerate.

I have the same sound. Sounds like gurgling water. Except I have it all the time. At idle and cruising. I was able to locate it some to something in the front right quarter panel rather than underneath the glove box. If you open your door and look into the quarter panel you'll notice just beyond the hinge a black plastic container. I can even feel the vibration from this thing but I'm not sure what it is or how else to get to it. Any one have any ideas?

the water in the fender behind the front wheel is probably the AIV. only on 90-92 z iirc.

So I did some research on the AIV (Air Injection Valves) and saw a lot of write ups on people deleting them. It plays a small role on emissions but my question is If I were to remove mine would I no longer pass smog. Or is the AIV so insignificant it won't matter. Anyone have experience with this?

Insignificant system is insignificant.

There's a reason Nissan ditched it after 3 years.

IIRC, you'll need them coded out of the ECU program though. All aftermarket EPROMs do this.

The drain for the AC is in the engine bay, right above the passenger side downpipe on the fire wall. It's a black rubber spout.

you can kinda see it below and to the right of the grey glove in the middle of the above pic.
