the sound of plastic popping and the pass. window wont go up

I went to close the windows and the passenger window made a popping sound halfway up and wouldnt go any further????so I went down with it and it lowered fine. but wont go back up???? what parts do I need and how do I go about doing this???? anybody know????

Sounds like the plastic cable guide on the regulator is shot. Take the door panel off and with the glass in the lowest position, look at the regulator from the top of the door. You will be able to see a white plastic wheel with grooves in it. That is the cable guide. The cable may be off the guide and somewhat mangled. If this is what you find, you'll need a regulator. +/- $120.00 http://www.everythinginfiniti.com Vandi.

thanks vandi!!! the passenger window is now in the same status so Im gonna get on this....Id posted about this Q45t Id bought about 6months ago....(the broken timing chain that wasnt) Im in the process of getting everything right with it. this is one of those things.again thanks for the help!!!!!

the plastic cable guide was broken...cable was off the guide...straitened it out by bumping the motor back and forth slowly while straitening the cable.got it all back together and thank GOD,works great!!!!! thanks again for the help!!!!!!!
