After driving my car last night for the pure enjoyment......since all I have done the past month is work on it.......

I could not help but notice the great sound of a the V8 twin cam.........to me that alone is worth owning the car......

V6 engines will never sound like that...

I have had plenty of 10,000 RPM small block chevy engines.........but nothing sounds quite like a twing cam at 7000 RPM

Only wish it had a few more cubes.............

So you can have your accords and camrys....etc....I will stick with the rear wheel dirve V8!

Not sure if or what you've done exhaust-wise, but have you had a chance to listen to any of the sounds clips posted by rsiwicki or Jeff Williams? They both did some exhaust work on their Q45's, the former actually had custom headers made ... I sure do miss that car. It's currently owned by MinisterOfDoom.

Some prefer the "quiet luxury", I enjoyed the "awakened beast" .

I love the pur sang moan of the DOHC 4-valve V8 at WOT. Why anyone thinks they should sound like an OHV iron block Mustang is beyond me.

Enjoy the stereo with the CD player too!

I completely agree. The car sounds fantastic. When I decided to buy the car from Rex, I looked forward to enjoying the sound (knowing what was in store thanks to the exhaust mods). When I finally got the car, it sounded so much better than I imagined. The VH offers such a fantastic range of V8 noises, from off-throttle burble to racecar scream to gentle purr. I live in a very hilly area (on the rocky mountains) and rumbling down mountain roads in 2nd gear listening to that strange combination of smooth growl and engine-braked burble is definitely an enjoyable side-effect.

I certainly like the sound of a VQ or even my Maxima's VG through it's Magnaflow, but they aren't even in the same league as the VH. The way the VH manages to blend the sounds of muscle with the sounds of Ferraris is superb.

Click the link in my signature to hear my car, by the way.

When i had my cone filter on the car it somewhat reminded me of oh the dohc mustang v8's. Its a certain sound that DOHC V8's have. Gotta love it
