I have been like three times. I still have have some trouble carving toward the mountain. I don't what my deal is.

I may get adventurous this winter and go a bunch with the little lady and try to get good.

I'm in the process of picking where our club is going for Spring Break.

Choices are: Telluride, Jackson, Park City, Winter Park, Breck. We've been to Telluride, Jackson, and Winter Park in consecutive years starting a year and a half ago. I think I'm the only person still in the club (wooo! 6 years of college!) that remembers WP. Park City is more expensive.

Breck could be interesting but I haven't been in 4 years, since the head park designer left for Keystone. Also, there are a lot of people who very much enjoy hiking their runs (myself included) and there isn't much of that in Summit county, compared to, say, Telluride or Jackson (Corbit's anyone?).

Also, this is the week that makes the transition between Feb and Mar of next year. I've only been in Summit over the New Year holidays. That's a little early in the year for most people's SBs, but Breck is so not-far-out-of-the-way that it's going to be hit harder with Spring Breakers, and no one likes to ride a crowded mountain.

Any advice?

Meh, we were there 3 years ago. While I really like it, the choices are really between Winter Park and Breck.

Well with my favorite local mountain, the season doesn't start until October or November

I'm going to bump this thread / look for some advice here.

I'm spending a week in Telluride with some buddies this winter to partake in a little bit of snowboarding. I've never been out west, but I've spent a fair amount of time snowboarding in the east, and would like to think I'm decent for someone who's never even owned a board. I can jib most of the easy-intermediate stuff, land a few 360's off small-ish jumps, ride switch somewhat decent, etc.

Anyway, I'm leaning towards buying this setup from a guy:-Burton Twin Retro 153cm board (barely used)-Burton Mission bindings (new)-Burton Shaun White boots (new)-All for a whopping $250

Oh, and a free bag. <---Deal sealer

I'm 5'9" 155lbs. So independent parties allege that the board is a good fit for me. And I know it's a park/freestyle board, but I've heard it won't be too bad on the powder/big slopes (Don't really care because I'll get a lot of use from it back here east on the groomers and parks)

If anyone here would like to pipe up with an opinion regarding my setup, or using it over in CO, I'm all ears. Thanks.
