Well my friend just blew something in his 2 week old ka-t. So we took it to a shop his dad found to get it checked out. One of the guys working there said he had a sr20 he would sell him. My friend is very anti sr and loves the ka so he rejected. I was planning a ka-t set up also but gave the sr some thought, went back today, and im taking them money next week. lolwell here she is. its missing the turbo, ecu, harness and a couple other little things. But im getting it with transmission for 1000. Its a s14 black top that some guy bought for the datsun its in and never finished it. The shop is pulling it and cleaning it up for me.let me know what you think. oh and im selling my ka and transmission to a friend.

$1000 is a bit much once you consider the cost of getting everything else. You can probably wheel and deal a few things, but you will probably save time, money, and heartache if you buy it as a package deal from a motor importer.

I might save money doing that but I already found a wiring harness and ecu for cheap. Plus the shop will accept payments so I can go ahead and get the motor quickly. Rather that. Saving for a black top then paying the shipping all the way to southern alabama. Plus the shop is ran buy really nice guys that will help me with any problems.I'd rather just do this. What motor is in your vert?

SR20 works really well in the car IMO - keep the turbo fairly small (GT28R/S15BB) and you'll have almost lagless performance with some rather excellent noises as well :D
