I purchased my '93 S13 convertible in September of '07. It had already been 5 speed and SR swapped, so I was already off to a pretty good start. Other than that (and a front mount and TurboXS BOV) it was bone stock, all the way down to the exhaust.

Highlights*122K miles*Nearly flawless interior*96-98 Kouki blacktop SR swap*5 speed

With the stock exhaust, it was practically quieter than my wife's 2001 Grand Am. Minor cosmetic issues, which I planned to get fixed up. Definitely a clean, fun daily, but of course I wanted......MORE fun.

First step was the exhaust. Picked up a generic 3" exhaust locally, which helped IMMENSELY. An SR breathing through a stock KA exhaust is no good.

Next step was to fix the lowered-on-sunken-stock-wheels status. Budget was slim but I found a great deal on some 16x7 +22 multi-piece mesh wheels (Linea Sport......apparently they're Italian-made for the Japanese market ) that look pretty decent. Fitment isn't gangster but it's an improvement. Somewhere in here I also replaced the stupidly, obnoxiously loud TurboXS BOV with a recirculating DSM BOV setup. So much quieter.

About this time, I started to get tired of the 3" exhaust. It was a generic 3" canister-style, which means it had a poor excuse for a muffler and would DROOOOOOOOOOOONE pretty much all the time. I found a great deal on a used 3" Fujitsubo system; extremely quiet. Nice tone when you're hard on the gas, and very low-key when you're not.

Also, right about now is when turbo drama started. I installed a high-flow O2 dump pipe, and broke a stud in the turbo in the process. Figured, hey, I'll upgrade the turbo in the meantime. Spent ~4 months sourcing a GTiR T28, finding out it needed a rebuild, getting it rebuilt, and installing it. Then decided I didn't like the power delivery, spent another ~2 months sourcing an S14 T28, and installing.

Finally got the car running the way I wanted it in June 2008. I then spent some time and money on things like: Nardi steering wheel, shifter, sway bar, S14 seats (like 500% improvement, wow), gauges, turbo timer, etc.

Also gathered up some JDM Chuki OEM sideskirts, OEM rear coupe valances (RARE), and a Xenon front lip for a full OEM aero look. Was planning to put all this on and paint her OEM Juniper Green Metallic, dump her a little more and do some injectors/tuning for 300HP......but job changes have me needing something more practical.

Such is life. I'll come back to cars, maybe even to 240s, later on when I have more time; for now, I need to prioritize a little better.

Here's how the car sits now.

Engine*S14 T28 ball bearing turbo, HKS actuator @~11psi*Taka turbo lines*FMIC, solid piping*Piping Pro intake, K&N filter*Recirculating DSM BOV setup, so it's not obnoxiously f***ing loud*Megan turbo elbow, 3" downpipe/Catco cat, 3" Fujitsubo JASMA exhaust which is very quiet compared to most.*Walbro 255, Nismo FPR*Altima electric fans*SPL clutch line, damper box delete

Suspension/brakes*Eibach Sportliine springs, KYB AGX shocks*Tanabe Sustec rear sway (stock front sway for now)*EBC Greenstuff front pads, Hawk HPS rears*Adjustable RUCAS (not installed)

Exterior*Canadian DTRLs (wired to come on with the headlights/parking lights)*Amber/clear turn signals*Multi-piece Linea Sport mesh wheels, 16x7 +22 (not very common...I believe they're Italian made for the Japanese market)*BFG G-Force Sport tires, 205/50ZR16, ~2000 miles

Interior*C's short shifter, Nismo butt plug knob*Nardi 365mm classic, HKB hub (horn and turn signals work)*Kouki S14 SE seats*Autometer boost, water temp, oil pressure gauges in center A/C vent*Pioneer head unit*Stri turbo timer

I was going for a slightly old-school look that I think would have been complete with the metallic green paint, OEM aero and more of a drop. And maybe some spacers. Oh well......maybe someday. The car's an absolute blast to drive and it runs 100% percent, I just never got the cosmetics the way I wanted them.

So yep. That's it. Hope you like the pictures. If you really like 'em, the car's for sale zer...odies

Yep, definately S14. No clue how they were made to fit/attach though.

Quote » No clue how they were made to fit/attach though.[/quote]It's a tight fit =o They would need to be trimmed a little bit, I think, to fit perfectly. There's an article floating around on how to custom fit S14 seats in the rear of an S13, though it might be a little different for 'verts. As for these, they're wedged in there pretty snugly and ziptied () for the time being. Not the most permanent solution, but they're comfy and definitely aren't going anywhere.
