Well my 2 hour timing belt project turned out to be a 5 days hell fest of removing the head to replace all the valves. Its all back together and running, but not without new problems. Its got a minor oil leak that im gona hunt down in the morning. Little thing started right up once it got gas. That amazed me since its been sitting for 1 year now. BUT it runs!!!!!!

Well its alive and kicking well. The oil leak was the gasket around the valve cover. No wonder the book said 55lb/ft for the 2 bolts. I have a new problem on it. the power steering rack leaks so bad it wont hold fluid now. Should i just take the belt off of the pump and say the hell with it or swap the rack out for a manual steering rack?

Mark, you'll be known in the town now with the car that backfires some. hehe My mom's old datsun smoked like a freight train. She would be at a redlight and smoke the people behind us. But I have to say that car ran d@mn good. 1981 Datsun uhh from Z series I think. Cant remember, but it was good ol' car, but known around town b/c it smoked so bad. :)

This car has potential bro. Hmmm.....maybe a turbo or a motor swap will spice things up.
