The same encoders?

Does anyone here know if the encoder used in the vector motors in cranes are the same as the encoders used in hospital tables? An acquaintance of mine who works in a company exporting hospital tables is looking for a supplier of encoders. I only know of a company who supplies encoders that are used in cranes. We're not really close so I'd hate to refer the wrong company to my acquaintance.

You're on the wrong forum for that question, guy.

yes, but i believe you have to use an encoder off a telescoping crane, preferably a grove machine, and then swap the continuum transfunctioner off a demoiselle crane for maximum yaw and pitch control.

Ah yes, but what do those cheesy inclining beds from the 90s use, besides crusty old white people?
