I got in a car accident 2 weeks ago i hit a parked car and air bags came out and tie rod broke in two pieces, control arm was bent back, corner light broke, head light is fine but is pushed back.

I've already fixed Tie rod, Contol arm, Even put in new Energy Suspension bushings one the Tie rod, Tension rod, sway bar link, and Control arm. I've done the best i could with the alinement.

(The Problem) is that the car is still not drive able because the right wheel keeps cutting in or turn to the left while im holding the steering wheel straight.

Does any one have any suggestions on what they might think it could be cuz im stumped right now.

have you checked other things connected to this:

strut, steering rack, is the wheel itself ok? - any frame damage - how bad was it if there was?

The wheel looks fine, the frame doesn't look bent, and i've messed around with the tie rod alot already so its not the alignment. it kinda feels like the tie rod moves by its self causeing the wheel to turn in when i move the car forward and im only going like 3MPH

strut, steering rack...?
So your right wheel turns in, your left wheel stays the same?

Jack the car up on jack stands. turn the steering wheel by hand - see if everything is normal.

Go outside, try to turn the right wheel by physically grabbing the wheel, see if the left wheel moves. Do the same for the left wheel - if everything is normal...

Have your buddy hold the left wheel while you turn the right wheel - if you can get one wheel to turn while another is straight, then obviously, you can now look under the car and see if soemthing is wrong w/ the steering rack or strut.

Easy, simple, straight forward.

Do that and report back

Like brokeAs240sx said check your wheels w/a buddy. He holds left wheel, you hold right wheel @9+3 O'clock and try to turn it.

By the description given(since we can't see the damage), I'm assuming that there's alot more damage than meets the eye. I would bet that if your tie rod broke, and your control arm bent back, your strut got bent/misaligned throwing off your caster aswell as affecting toe, and camber.

You say "I've messed around with the tie rod alot already so it's not the alignment." No offense but that's %99.999 false. No matter how well you eye-ball it, you can't make sure that your caster, camber, and toe are in fact within specs. It definately sounds like more repairs are needed before you get a PROPER alignment.

More info needed to narrow problem, to make more suggestions.

Updates>>>>>>

I changed the rack n pinion and now the right wheel does turn in anymore. It just feels like its an alignment issue.

I took it to get an alignment and got the car back riding alot worse than before. When i hit a bump it causes the wheel to turn real hard.

Also when i got out of the car coming from getting it aligned i put the steering wheel straight, and looked at the crashed side (passanger side) of the car and the wheel is turned to the left and on the driver side the wheel is straight, after the alignment.

My friend says it could be the strut mounts got messed up and is causing the car to do this. Any suggestions on what it could be.
