go under the hood and check the throttle cable play. at the end of the throttle cable there will be a 2nd cable for the CC. check that too.

We don't have a throttle cable :( I kinda miss those :(

Have you hooked up to a scanner to see if there is any codes? I'd think a brake switch/clutch switch acting stupid could cause it to act up. I can't remember if these have a module for cruise or not.

thanks for hitting me up BLKOUT seems like you have knowledge on sentra's.
anyhow. since i had just acquired an alarm for my car i went to complain being under the assumption that the problem came from a bad install. the guy told me that sometimes the cruise control (c.c) might not engage if the clutch has some play.
so i thought "this mofo pulling my leg" i came home and read many sights and sure enough it was there. the test was to turn on the CC. [ 1) find my desired speed. 2) contunue to press the gas. 3) pull on the clutch with my free foot 4) and press set.] it is working for the mean time but. i guess i still have work to do.

this might be caused by the pedal is moving lower but caused by what? ∆ a bad clutch maybe ∆

do you have an idea

Look up there and see how it's attached, might just be something loose causing the clutch to sag down and trigger the switch. Get that fixed ASAP, it might start without you pushing down the clutch, and that's not good.
