hey guys, it's been so LONG!! well i kinda dropped off the board after i swapped PC's and forgot/loss all my login info, i managed to somehow remember after about a few tries and thought i'll post a lil update,

CA19 is finally done and running, working flawlessly, dont mind the rest of the car looks like poo because of all the mechanics and grubby hands on it for the lsat few months... but anyway, still breaking in so no DYno numbers or 1/4 mjile times... but it looks promising...

for thos that might have fogottena dn those that might get a kick out of my parts list here it goes.

i know the airfilter melted off the turbo, HEAT!!!!

still got allot going on with the car, oil cooler to hook up, clean up the wiring harness (removing unnecessary wires etc) guages to hook up, boost controller & turbotimer to intall etc...

i'll try not to be such a stranger! ;)

1.6mm head gasket? What sort of effective compression ratio does that net you?

i have no idea what my compression is like now, between the 8.5:1 pistons, the 1.6mm head gasket and the fact that both the head and block were milled/skimmed to make them perfectly flat/true, who knows what my final compression is... tell you what though, it runs great in the low rpm, i have not hit 5psi boost yet...

well yousendit.com has for some reason stopped hosting ti and allowing so many downlaods... must be overloaded..

i'll psot it somewhere else, and i also got a couple in car vids of me crusing getting pulled on by a couple evo 7's and a subaru sti trying to get me to race. got to get my friends camera from this weekend..

hey bro just send me a pm and you can send it to me, i got a host that i can upload to (provided by my friend) unlimited bandwidth/space so just send me a PM and ill host if for you buddy :D i'm researching on a CA18 anyway for my 240, decided to go ca when everyone i know only asks if i have an SR -.-' well have fun with the CA i know i'm jealous :D

I know had you feel; about a month after I got my CA I was at the SEMA show in AC talking to one of the Garrett engineers. When I mentioned I had a CA he looked down his nose at me and basically asked why I didn't get an SR. **** him.

For sure =\ people underrate the CA. Sure SR stock has more hp... but i've "heard" (emphasis on heard) that a CA with intake and performance exhaust can keep up with a stock SR because it has a shorter stroke *not really sure if this is true or not* on drag. but hey... i want CA for its low end power =] i like low end power on streets ;D but other than that. it can score points in shows because it is pretty much a "unique" upgrade to the car. Another possibility is full 180sx and having the original 180sx motor which can catch the eye of a judge (especially since my model is the same model that the CA came out for the 180s)

But hey. f' that guy :D garrett eng sucks go TOMEI! :D

those are just off the top of my head prices, some stuff i bought bundled with other parts ( i got pistons & rings, injectors, the turbo and wastegate all together for about $1800)

i hope to make ~400whp but only daily drive it at about 320whp...
