I wanted to make sure you knew the oil drip was not your fault. And, the transmission drip was not really your fault either. Besides, I was able to get both problems without much effort or expenditure.

Now, the chain guides... I told my wife that you may start searching for the quit life button when I broke the news to you. I know how excited you must be about the possibility of tearing in to my car again! Sorry man.

I guess we should start looking to make arrangement for a second attempt. Please advise your convenience, sir.

I will have to see what I can do about getting away from work on that weekend. Since I work retail, getting a Saturday off is a little tough. Especially when I am the boss and I don't let anyone else take a Saturday off.

I will check the schedule when i get to work tomorrow. I will let you know what I find out.

Would you feel confident trying to tackle this on a Sunday? I know that doesn't leave much room for error if there are problems. But, I know I have that Sunday off of work.

Just let me know what you think. I will bring my ramps with me... save you all the death defying jack work you were doing!

Great to hear you local Infiniti dealer is helpful. Most are but you hear the occassional horror stories.

Good atrt to a long "healthy" dealer/car owner relationship.

Wes,

Looks like I won't be able to get that Saturday off... but, I am available on Sunday. I know that gives you a little less time than you probably would prefer. But, since this is your second time tackling the project I am sure you will be quicker!

I am assuming that another case of oil would come in handy during the project. Is there anything else that I could bring this time that would have come in handy last time? Any tools that would be needed? Any extra bolts, washers, or assorted hardware?

I am also planning to order my new fuel pump sometime this week. I would like to try to tackle that soon as well. I think I will start a new thread about that.... I want to make sure I order all of the parts I need.

I think I am going to order a new injector in the next week or two as well... and, I think I will just order the under plenum hose kit at the same time. I figue it would probably be better to just take care of all that stuff at once.... though, I am not sure how long that project will take. I will probably start a seperate thread for that as well.

Ross no problem. we'll work it out sometime... I think we could do it....

I think since hte oil is so new we may try and skip that, or maybe drain the oil and then replace it, i hate to see all that brand new oil go to waste... lets do that, lets drain it and then put it back in. Seems realyl silly to do that.....
