I ma bike freak myself. I love motorcyles. From Suzuki GSX-R 1000's to Harley fat boys. Cruising is simply alot of fun. I personally, being the speed addict I am would prefer a sport bike. There are many things to say about the relationship between car junkies and bike junkies.Lets take a look.

I find that although primedia has turned to all but total crap, with the bs adverstising and shameless spending of needless money on project silvia (8000.00 for 276rwhp?!), they did have an excellent article on the relationship between car guys and motorcycle guys. At least once in any car junkies life--the need for speed turns to a off-the-shelf alternative source. 2 wheels, 1000cc's, about 360 pounds, and alot of straight road. Some act on it and end up being riders---some just dream. But we all share the passion.Buying a bike can be a trying experience sometimes. For those of us who are dollar conscious, we will try to seek out the best used bike we can find. This can be a nightmare truly. Finding the one you want and then making sure its straight, never been down, the price is good, never been ragged out, etc. can be difficult without someone who knows bikes with you to help. But after all is said and done--getting on it and riding out is a great feeling. Plus the fact that you hit about 140 in under what most guys run the quarter mile in is always a plus . The feel of the road is undeniable, the curve alone are enought to turn even the most experiences riders into grinning idiots. want to talk about curve burning in a well setup 240? On a bike--there is no comparison. in a turn- most of us tend not stay out of the gas when apexing just out of exp with the ***-end stepping out on us. An experienced rider with counter-steer lay it over, and nail it--bikes handle just about better in the gas than off of it.whoa--I could go on for days about my love for the sport of riding.Lets hear some postive stuff from everyone else.

Can't say I have any desire to own a bike myself. Just not something I have a passion for honestly.

I want an old honda interceptor(i think that what its called) to match my 240 when its done of course I want a pathfinder to match too. Not to mention both my gf and the parental units have threatened a few parts of the good old anatomy if I ever buy a bike.

Bikes are hot, i wouldn't mind the chance of learning to ride--just for the hell of it.

And it took $8k to make that much hp on project silvia because SCC buys the most expensive stuff they can find... grrrrr...

Enzo. Come-on man, Even if u could find an R7 (only made 500 and most went to race teams) Theyre a '99 so they've been around for 5 years. By the time u have enough money for one theyre guna be either all ragged out, or a show display for hella $$$. Once u sell the 250 buy a new 600 or 1000. For example the 99 R1's make about 130-135rwhp stock, the new ones make about 158-163rwhp. Nearly 30hp in 5 years And theyre lighter! So for practicality get an R6, or ZX-6r, for the drool factor, get that R7 ;)

Projex: Man u were right on everything but one "2 wheels, 1000cc's, about 360 pounds, and alot of straight road" Man, the curves r where its at! Anyone can go fast in a strait line. Buy an 02 hayabusa, TRE (timming retard eliminator) Full yoshimura exhaust system, and a wet nitrous kit. For around 12,000 bucks total can hit about 200mph
