The reasons I like my Altima....

Are pretty much the same reasons non Altima people don't care for the car.
I LIKE the fact that my 2012 Altima 3.5 SR:
Rides like a very good handling sedan and not like a sports car.
Isn't flashy...but maintains a subtle "attitude" in its appearance.
More than lives up to said attitude in every driving situation I've been in while behind the wheel in it.
Bashers claim its a two door sedan with little visual appeal...lucky for me that was exactly the type of car I was looking for...
A front wheel drive two door that has nearly the capabilities of a fullon sports car but none of their raw mannerisms. A very nice full leather interior. A seamless auto trans. Every convenience I could hope for...and for me anyways... Classy looking either standing still or going down the road.... Oh and somewhat OK gas mileage.
It really is my favorite vehicle thus far that I've owned and I'm ecstatic that I bought one....especially since they can no longer be had new.

Most of us on here modding it are going for that sports car feel as a lot of the upgrades give it that.

I personally would like to swap to the '10+ front bumper/lights/hood, since that just completes the look for me, if I could throw money away at it. My own '08-09 style front end just looks kind of 'meh' in terms of sportiness/aggressiveness.

However, I think for the price, at the time I bought it (mid 2009), it was the coolest car I could afford, that I had in mind (always wanted the Altima SE-R). A good V6 (big bonus for the VQ sound shared with the Z/G) plus very decent performance for what it cost me (0-60 in < 6 sec).

I kind of regret the CVT now, due to its performance hit and reliability issues, ironic considering it's supposed to be more economic than a traditional A/T yet has worse power train loss.

I plan to keep mine at least till the CVT explodes or I drive the wheels off.
