Nice lookin vette man. Early 80's right? Do you still have the "missfire injection" on it?

Thanks guys! It's an '82, last of the sharks. It's the only year that had the cross-fire injected engine and no, I've never had a misfire. My dada bought it off of a dude in '83 who put about 3K miles on it and the original color was black. Everything is original except for the paint and stereo and it's about time for a new headunit. I'm pretty much the primary driver and do all the maintenance on it. I've been toying with the idea of putting headers on it and turning it into a rocket but a mechanic friend talked me out of it.

I think if I was gonna go for an old beamer it'd have to be an 8 series in black with a cappuccino flake. Just like the MBZ s-class espresso edition has, but that's a $8K paint job.

Very cool that you are keeping it in the family... sorry about the "missfire injection" thing. Back in the late 80's there were a lot of those at the auto swaps from 'vette owners who took them off because they couldn't get them to run right. At the swaps everyone called them missfire. I think Chevy even dropped a few of those systems into Camaros back in the day.

On another note, I had my dream car ('73 Z28 Camaro mostly restored, but with a built up engine - ran high 12s in the 1/4 mile) - sold it to go to grad school. Now that I'm done and working I'll be looking to pick up another within the next few years.

Mine's a 2009 CRF450X with a 2Moto kit for the winter... I guess I went off topic there... sorry.

Not mine, just dreamin' for next winter.
