hey guys so iv had my 240 for about 3 years not, bought it bone stock with ugly fugly grey interior, not in to good condition to begin with, little by little i began changing just about every thing to black, my latest mod would be the black sway glove box and door panels, I know I could have just taken off the sway and leave the pleather, but sway feels so damn good. although im not a big fan of my vinyl strip i added, i need it to cover tear from my eblow resting on it. sorry for the phone pics, ill take better ones later today if you guys really want. Let me know what you guys think, any advice or other improvements I can add. thanks!

mods:

indash tv all pioneer speakerskenwood twittersseats reupholsteredcarpetroofmirror paintedvisors parintedtrunk side panelstrunk carpettint (it counts as interior mod too!)door panelsglove box

all i think i need ar new window (cracked) and dash (cracked)

all of thoughs were oldies, i know your tired of see them, latest picssome out side picsim very happy with the results, considering I did every thing my self, my dad halped me out with the seats, he used to reupholstery. hope you enjoy

how the heck did you pop out the center pieces in the door? it looks like you have completely removed them from the door to recover them? How did you do that?

Besides that. looks mint!!!

They don't pop out. You have to cut them out then glue them back in. Not a good way to do it in my opinion. I have recovered just my own door cards about 7 times now. One of those times was cutting that section out then fiberglassing it back in. It is actually WAAAAYYYY more time consuming, with worse results, than just figuring out how to properly do it without cutting it out. I have a really good method that I do it now and so far it looks like I found a good glue that is holding up. We'll see how it does through the summer season.

i also did this. i personally think it is a great way. and its not hard...and it yields better results if done right. i cut them out(thats the hard and time consuming part, but after that rewrapping them is quite easy) then when its cut out you can wrap the material around the piece so it looks clean from the outside. then just hot glue the piece back into place from the back and then put a little liquid nails on it. this is the second time i wrapped mine. so it was a fly. heres the first one...and the latest...(i think it looks good with the fresh white paint...(i know...its blurry, my camera sucks

it was some type of vinyl i got at a fabric store. the driver side in the pic looked great. the passanger side looked like s***. and the bubbles and wrinkles in the blue really arent that noticible in real life. i know you probably think im lying but its true. the blue material was so thin that i couldnt put much glue on otherwise it would seep through so its kinda loose. there not really creased wrinkles

Once I get some pictures of mine and you see the results, you will never cut another door card up!

Absolutely not.... I do not want to barge into the OP's thread. Sometime at the end of this month I will be starting a new thread with all of my new mods I have done since the end of last year. I am just finishing some things up then I will have my friend Kyle shoot the car. I will also be updating my interior thread with the portion of the mods that are interior related.

very nice interior. im very jealous. i also went through the cutting of the door panel and wrapping...just seeing that pic without the insert brought back bad memories of "how the f*** do i fix what ive done". the one with the blue fabric has a bunch of lines in the corner with the fabric, that little stuff bugs the hell out of me with custom jobs thats why i decided to completely cut mine out. your first one looks great. btw, factory leather, prof shop, or ebay upholstry kit on the seats?

hey man that looks real good........by the way did you do the wiring for your speakers your self. Just to let you know you should be able to find a hole in the fire wall or if you follow your wiring harness, you should be able to hide those wires to make them as cleans as your car cause i hate to see a clean car with little mistakes here and there.........just like to share my thoughts

Hey thanks guys, I thought those phone pics didnt do any justice, so i decided to detail it and take pics with a decent camera, its not magazine worthy (yet), as for the wires, I hide them a while ago, they were old pics, I think all I want to do is replace the steering wheel, dash, and window. Id thought Id work from the inside out, although its probly not up there with the VIP guys, but think it has a real luxury look to it which is what i was going for, next week im going to repair the steering wheel, and dash, Ill see if I can do a DIY for all the stuff iv done so far if you guys are interested. other than seats and carpet, iv wasted about 150 in materials
