They don't pop out. You have to cut them out then glue them back in. Not a good way to do it in my opinion. I have recovered just my own door cards about 7 times now. One of those times was cutting that section out then fiberglassing it back in. It is actually WAAAAYYYY more time consuming, with worse results, than just figuring out how to properly do it without cutting it out. I have a really good method that I do it now and so far it looks like I found a good glue that is holding up. We'll see how it does through the summer season.GreGS15 wrote:how the heck did you pop out the center pieces in the door? it looks like you have completely removed them from the door to recover them? How did you do that?
Besides that. looks mint!!!
i also did this. i personally think it is a great way. and its not hard...and it yields better results if done right. i cut them out(thats the hard and time consuming part, but after that rewrapping them is quite easy) then when its cut out you can wrap the material around the piece so it looks clean from the outside. then just hot glue the piece back into place from the back and then put a little liquid nails on it. this is the second time i wrapped mine. so it was a fly. heres the first one...and the latest...(i think it looks good with the fresh white paint...(i know...its blurry, my camera sucksBroadfield wrote:

it was some type of vinyl i got at a fabric store. the driver side in the pic looked great. the passanger side looked like s***. and the bubbles and wrinkles in the blue really arent that noticible in real life. i know you probably think im lying but its true. the blue material was so thin that i couldnt put much glue on otherwise it would seep through so its kinda loose. there not really creased wrinklesWc240 wrote:what fabric is the black? whats up with the wrinkles and bubbles in the blue?
Absolutely not.... I do not want to barge into the OP's thread. Sometime at the end of this month I will be starting a new thread with all of my new mods I have done since the end of last year. I am just finishing some things up then I will have my friend Kyle shoot the car. I will also be updating my interior thread with the portion of the mods that are interior related.sil80_chris wrote:Broadfield: are you gonna be posting up the pics in this thread?
hey man that looks real good........by the way did you do the wiring for your speakers your self. Just to let you know you should be able to find a hole in the fire wall or if you follow your wiring harness, you should be able to hide those wires to make them as cleans as your car cause i hate to see a clean car with little mistakes here and there.........just like to share my thoughtsDisrupter911 wrote:
