The Q's mysterious steering wheel ?!

Measures @ 15.5 inches in diameter, yet so far 3 different brands of steering wheel covers that claim to fit 14.5-15.5, just don't fit. I've let it sit in 98 degree FH heat for several hours to make pliable, still nothing . Is there a secret to this seemingly easy task that I'm missing lol.

Bought the fake wood grain one from Walmart. I don't think I've cussed so much in my life. One size does not fit all. Got it on with sore fingers but one year later trying to rip on top of wheel.
