Is the mount bracket required?

An a model 20mm rear bar with bushings and links is nice.

not totally for sure what is "required" but i know that since the car is roughly 14 years old now, i should replace everything i can while the car is down...i might do the rear bar...but its not my main concern. i also have to replace the ball joints...i know, i know before you guys give me any grief i should just replace the entire arm, but i would rather just swap out the ball joint and add new bushing because the arm itself is in good condition. Thanks for the quick reply maxnix i knew i could count on you guys...always have.

Are the ball joints available separately? I certainly wouldn't perform the other work without replacing them also, repeated labor being what it is.

The Z32 BJ's will work fine but you must use the Z32 BJ seat as well. The NISMO LCA bushing is a good choice. You can check my previous post for a Spicer BJ part # but does not come w/seat. Order it I.o.S.

yes max i planned on replacing the ball joints seperately with the z32's, im picking up the z32 bj's from advance i believe rock auto had moog for 26 ea and advance will price match...no shipping charges. not sure if advance has the seat but will find out when i oreder the bj's.

Why Z32 ball joints when they are not as heavy duty as the G50 ones? I s +100K miles not long enough?

may the q45 gods have mercy on my soul for what i am about to say....price is the reason i am not replacing complete lower arms and thus the reason for the z32 bj's. dont think there are any g50 bj's floating around from what ive read on here...so my only options seem to be low $ versus high $...and i know ill get chewed a new one here shortly for this but im going with the lower$. everything else is going to be from IoS so i decided to keep my costs down.sorry

But on the long run....? are we talknig $20 - $50 each for the correct part? That would be 1¢ per mile?

um....the arms run about 250 ea. so 500 give or take. that would be about 450 more than the z32 bj's which im quite sure would be more than 1 cent per mile.

THe G50 ball joints may not indeed be available separately, but how will you verify that your arms have not defelected over the years? How worn was the suspension when it was operated? Q45tech warns constantly about long term deflection of metal components over time which is accelerated by worn out bushings and such.

no records of service ever before my ownship of the car...which i nay take your advice on replacing the entire arms because while the car is down i've decided to do some major body work to elimate all rust and give it a fresh paint job...and while sanding down the pass rear wheel well i found BONDO! after sanding the bondo completely off i found tack welds where they pulled the area back flush...which means the dealer lied about no wrecks can you believe that ha! yep i shouldve car faxed the damn thing, but it was just such a beauty that only set me back 4 grand in 05.

You are correct. No G50 BJ's cept w/LCA attached. Take a look at the LCA when you pull it. Site down the bushing bore & of course look for any stressed areas where BJ lives. The Z32 will serve you fine. The difference G50 to Z32 is that the taper is 1mm smaller in D not H. However the stress point at base of taper is same. Why you must use Z32 seat. Outside D & W &h of seat is same.

Note: I'm waitng for wes, mike, tech, or any of the other vets to chime in and offer opinions on the list and whether or not i have to purchase all that seperately or if joe has some sort of "kit" - thanks
