well my G50 has not been the most perfect one in the world, but it was running. that was until last saturday...i was driving normally, taking it easy on the throttle, until i put it in park and back into drive. i drove and instead of shifting into 2nd, it stayed in 1st. the car was kind of rolling at 2K RPMs for a few seconds. then it finally shifted.but it didn't stop there. its been known that the Q has shifted lazy from 2-3 but when the tranny shifted into 3rd, it went back into 2nd!very unusual but also expected. it seems that after 148,000 miles, the Q is gonna die. i doubt that a tranny rebuild is on the horizon since $1,200 is not worth being spent on a "not really mint" condition Q.i just wanted to post that, comment if you want.

Check the trans. level right away, and change the fluid and filter ASAP.

Aaahhh... maybe that explains why my odometer stops working intermittently. The car is trying to avoid its own funeral? Now at 147,689. (I keep wondering how many miles it's really seen.)

the fluid level is good, and i think a fluid change might not be in the future since i really don't care anymore. i'm gonna ride it til the wheels fall offyea this thing has been nothing but a headache so i think i'm going back with hondas.

Obviously you were not the type of person that believes in spending $3,500 [higher NYC prices] per year on maint. and repairs.

Going back to Honda's! Yes 4 cylinder lighter cars are less expensive than heavy V8.

Why people buy these Q without knowledge of what they are getting into?

Nothing but problems, YES If you don't understand, TRUE.
