I usually use Greased Lightning for my wheels along with a brass 'tooth'brush. Worked pretty well in the past, though it required a fair amount of effort.

Simple Green was on sale today in a spray bottle at Wal-Mart so I decided it to try it.

First of all, I recommend gloves. As I type this, my hands are burning like hell, like I dunked them in a bucket of gasoline.

Second, its AMAZING. Just a couple sprays started eating up all that caked on brake dust and dirt. A simple wipe with a rag did the trick. The piepans are a thing of beauty, theyre just underappreciated. :)

I'll shut up now and post some pics:Above: A wheel before Simple Green.

Above: That kid with the Porsche Cayenne came over while I was in the driveway. He bumped up to 20" chrome wheels and added an exhaust upgrade. The sound is incredible. Too bad its ugly as sin and doesnt drive like its worth $80k.

Above: The borefest that is our garage. A 2004 Acura MDX, 2003 Lexus LX470, and 2000 Honda Civic occupy all three bays. Two overweight boxes on wheels and an econoturd.

Above: The Q after wheels cleaned and tires sprayed and a coat of Turtlewax Colorcure. I don't mind parking in front outside. It keeps the neighbors from thinking we have no taste. :D

Next week: Chain guides, AC belt, idler pulley. Booyeah!
