okay, so after much deliberation and waiting and searching all over, i got a voltage stabilizer...i'm not really into to doing scientific testing because i spent enough time getting the car to run, if it feels faster it's good enough for me, i will check the fuel mileage (right now 23-28 as long as i keep the revs down ), but for a start the idle feels much smoother, and the lights seem brighter, although that could be the new head unit, and it may rev more freely...but i've been driving my s10 p/u with no overdrive around for the last couple of days as my pseudo 180 was encased in an icecube. as i said not the most scientifc testing but it works for me, my vote try one and see, as my esteemed colleague, put it "well, a loose ground was the reason your car wouldn't start..." so there you have it, my official short test review of the sard "magic box" voltage stabilizer. sorry to waste your time.
