Some may not agree but here is the best place for political information

Don't get scammed by that unfair and unbalanced news channel that would like to see us all suffer with 4 more years of Bush.

Why is it that democrats ***** about the 1 republican media organization when almost all of the rest are run by democrats? All the news is bias. And if you don't believe that, you are deluded.

This thread fails.

If you want good political coverage, read a variety of sources. Read Politico, read The Economist, read the NY Times, watch Fox News, watch CNN, et cetera.

No one new source is ever going to be "objective", so you should get a good mix of the subjective sources that DO exist and then form your own conclusions.

If you're not willing to take the time to do that, you should stop following politics and consequently stop posting in the political forum.

Meh,I am glad to see that Bill Bennett and Glen Beck are on CNN giving commentary.

I much prefer to get my news from the radio. I listen to NPR, Radio Romania Internationl, Polish Radio External Service and some local news/talk stations.

It cracks me up to listen to Radio Romania talk about Obama and McCain. It is very shallow reporting, but it does highlight a big flaw with the Major Networks. I expect this coming from Radio Romania, I expect a little bit more coverage from the Major Networks in the United States.
"MSNBC specifically targets new viewers to cable news, in the 25-to-54-year-old demographic most attractive to advertisers."
All about the ad dollars, not about passing on relevant and objective information.

AP article wrote:Management erred in years past by trying to be all things to all people, he said. Now MSNBC is "a little smarter, a little edgier, a little more honest."

And maybe a little more liberal. Griffin resists the idea that MSNBC is positioning itself as the go-to network for the left, in much the same way as Fox is the network of choice for many conservatives.
Also note the political shift of MSNBC.

telcoman. What's wrong with each side of the spectrum having their own channel? That's like saying CNBC is geared towards investors and that's bad, and instead they should be watching Nickelodian.

In order to get "fair and balanced" information and in able to "we report, you decide", one has to go to multiple sources, liberal and conservative, to form well-founded opinions. I used to solely watch and read Fox, now its CNN with some Fox, but I'm still conservative. I watch CNN to see what others are saying and also to get info on the Dem nominees instead of political attacks that may occur on Fox.
