Labels can be limiting. I would advise against you trying to fit yourself into a certain classification, especially if you are having doubts. At your age, I would classify you as a kid who is trying to figure out the world and your place in it. That's not a bad position to be in either. It means your options are wide open. This is an old and often over-used saying but it is very true. "Life is a journey." You want to savor every moment, good and bad. Have fun and don't sweat the inevitable. Life will come at you quicker than you can catch it. No need to rush it along.TurboSauce wrote: I in a way want to be labeled.
You seem to have a low self-esteem about yourself, which is the real reason this thread was made. Like Becky said, don't label yourself. Continue on your way, and do what makes you happy. Stop being self conscience and tearing yourself down, and start being self confident and build on what you already have. It'll take you places.TurboSauce wrote:Ok, I will be straightforward with you guys, I know when I'm on here i tend to be an annoyance, and some stupid little prick who likes to be an a$$. but away from the usual nonsensical shenanigans, I'd like for some suggestions as to my current "journey" as one might call it.
Well for the past several weeks i've been thinking, and well, trying to find myself.it's been perplexing my thoughts, and I just can't get it out of my head. I want to like, finally tell myself who I am. for me it's harder then it looks. The way I see life is one that is either "is" or "isn't" and that's just my view. But I wonder what other people see of me, Like "what kind of "Guy" would I be classified as a "jock" "preppy" "nerd" "geek" .etc I in a way want to be labeled..
I know i might not find the answer at this age, but right now it is bugging me severely. I want to know how have any of you fellow NICOnauts discovered what i am trying to, and if so how in the world did you do it.I'd really like some help, and you guyz are really the only set of people i trust to give me real answers and no bulls***, or beating around the bush.
I'd have to say that this is 60-70% of the answer to this type of question.MinisterofDOOM wrote:Is it just because you're young and haven't done anything really significant with your life (again, not an insult, a genuine question)?
MinisterofDOOM wrote:You're 15 (unless your profile is wrong). Over the next 10+ years who "you" is will change a lot. But that's not the same as "finding" yourself. It's entirely possible to have "found" yourself and still change.
Hmm, yeah, i guess you're right, in life i pretend to not care what people say or think and just laugh at them but it really bothers me when i get home..... and i do have a train of thought, it's just a train that's different from yours.krimsonviper wrote:You seem to have a low self-esteem about yourself, which is the real reason this thread was made. I hate your train of thought, because you have none. You are a smart kid, so there's a plus.
For me It's just that one word death that really bothers me, I know it's inevitable, I also know i won't know when it comes knocking on my door.So I often ask myself if i want to leave behind something to be remembered by, why the hell am i here sitting on my couch playing xbox just watching time fly by.nissangirl74 wrote:

Sure *looks in the mirror* Oh i found myself. Ehh not really, it's just that I want to know who I am from the outside, not the inside. I know what i like what i hate and what drives me crazy. I just want to know what other people think of me.MinisterofDOOM wrote:I don't mean to attack what you're doing here, but I never understood this "find myself" thing.
I won't be coming out of intensive care if this were to happen. The local athority is REALLY bad.a prisoner escaped for a year, just to be found in a home NEXT to the prison which is a REAL facepalm.themadscientist wrote:Adversity will help reveal who you are. Go to your local 1%er biker bar and kick over a Harley and get ready to "find yourself." After you get out of intensive care, you will know more about you.
I storngly disagree, maybe it has to be with my background, but i believe that everyone was put here for a reason, even if it's the most minuscule of things, and once it's done their time is up. I mean why else would be the reason for people having a bully or an a**, or some idiot to make their day worse?my reason; It reminds you that you're NOT what they are, and you are better then them, though only in the case of not being what they currently are being.Red coupe wrote: No reason to stress. Ahh, but choosing not to fear, is choosing to be idiotic.ProudNissanFreak wrote:To fear death is to limit life.

I Love Confucius, It's like, Man who no buy protection, bound to get hurt.gnvarnadore wrote:dude best thing i can tell you is that as you get older your views change and your not the same person tomorrow as you are today. life is all about growing and i believe all people tend to try to always better themselves so "finding yourself" is more about accepting the evolution of your life and views. here are a few thinkgs to think about.
He who learns but does not think, is lost! He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger.Confucius
I will not be concerned at other men's not knowing me;I will be concerned at my own want of ability.Confucius
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.Confucius

oh and also, Lights break, cars stop working, tires pop, clothes fade, food spoils, things fall, jergens makes good lube.ProudNissanFreak wrote:Why would it be idiotic?
Death happens, why bother thinking about it? It's not going to change the fact that you'll die eventually. I personally don't give a rat's a** if I die today, tomorrow, or whenever.
Edit: Not picking a fight or anything, I enjoy these type of conversations
