I would like the member of this forum contribute with height aspects of their daily ride in means to find the magic height number with the perfect set of wheels and body kit.

Post the size of wheels and tires you running

The brand and model of your body kit ( at least the side skirt)

Most important how level with the frame the side skirt is (meaning does it sit lower or higher than the frame) and which one sits closest to the ground the frame or the skirt

Post a side view picture of your Daily Ride

and if want your thoughts about your setup!

Please we don't want to know how you feel about a member set up we want to to know what you have to contribute in other words don't hate!

Let me start

In the front 16X7.5 +45 offset 225/45/16-- rears 16X8.5 +35 offset 245/45/16

No Body Kit

The frame sits 2.5 inches of the ground

Thoughts: Wish I had a side skirt level with the frame to give justice how low it is to the ground. but after driving almost 2yrs 2.5 inches off the ground I'm ready to get a bigger wheel and tuck in the rear fender. Now I'm looking for a side skirt that sits 1 inch lower than the frame.

there is no magic number, do whatever you want. roll out pre-runner style or drag the frame all over town. make it as low as you want it, to your own standard of what you think looks good and at the same time feasible to your roadways and neighborhood

^^^^ Definitely agree. It's funny how most on Nico will tell you to slam your shiz and a select few will tell you to do what is good for what the road surfaces you use dictate. Honestly, do what is practical and looks good to YOU. Don't worry what others think. Unless, you don't have a mind of your own.

On to what I have. Don't have pics but because there are nothing but speed bumps in my apartment complex I have to ride just a little lower than stock, unless I want to caddy corner and look like a moron.

The perfect height, and how low. Well thats an oxymoron. Perfect is opinionated, but level suspension geometry is ideal.

In actually contributing, anything lower then a 2 inch drop around here sucks. It can be done, but its damn sure not fun.

^^GO LOWER! LOL.

IMO, I feel mine is about perfect for a daily. But perfect is different for everyone. Anyway, heres what i'm running:

-Tein HA Coilovers
-Front Tension Rods, Rear Rucas
-Subframe Collars
-350z Track Wheels 225/45/18 F 245/45/18 R
-OEM Navan Skirts and Rear Valences

I have it lowered to where theres no wheel gap all the way around and barely tucking tire. Its low enough to look great but yet not ridiculous aka scraping crap everywhere I go. It rubs slightly on U-Turns but nothing major. The ride/handling is awesome for a DD. My alignment is in spec perfectly for the setup. Heres a pic:

My last coupe was about as low as that vert. Maybe lower, I never measured the frame rails. I did run 215/45/16s and 225/50/16s so the tires were similar.

I had no problems daily driving in ohio. But down in FL a lot of shopping centers had GIANT storm drains giving me a hard time with out scraping a tonn.

It really depends on what your willing to live with, and what your area is like.

Lower is better though. I wouldn't worry about scraping that much, its all metal and there's more where it came from.

Yes, HKS Hi Power. Yes I had wheels on it. I had a spare engine in the back of the car, so about 300 lbs right over the rear axle.

Here's a more current picture, I only scrape on big dips. Other than that it's all about personal preference. I might be going lower in the front soon, depends on how it looks with matching wheels up front.

He's referring to your comment about how there is a lot more metal where the previous metal came from. Eventually there won't be any more metal, aka when you scrape a hole in your gas tank.

Its just a joke. I knew what he was insinuating but I didn't feel like giving in to his bait.

I would have to lay frame constantly with an air bagged suspension to come off the ground some times, like a mini truck, for that to be an issue.

Why so serious any way? Its all opinion on what stance is ideal any way.

That goes without saying, everyone have their on taste and needs, what I want to know is how far down or higher the side skirt sits from the frame.

Example 1: I want something that sits at same height or higher than my frame because if I get a side skirt that sits lower I will have to raise my car and the gap between the fenders and tires will be bigger.

Example 2: if I run larger wheels and the car raised 2 inches from my perfect height I would like to have a side skirt that will sit lower than the frame about 2 inches

Get it?

Here is the deal I want the look of the wheels tuck in the fender and the car to look lowered but not scraping the frame.. since the frame sits 2.5 inches lower than the side of the is I want to gather information of the height of various body kit out there like CHARGESPEED, BOMEX, DO-LUCK, 6666 CUSTOMS, B-MAGIC, C-WEST, DRFT, ORIGIN LAB, SUPERMADE, VERTEX, D-MAX, VIS, VEILSIDE, URAS, YASHIO, TRIAL, BN SPORTS, TRIAL, EBAY and so on.

If you have a side spoiler you could help by measuring the frame and the skirt from the ground.

If you're going to measure the height, use the rear differential and front cross member as the starting points. The fender, side skirts, or frame rails aren't usually the ideal spot to measure from, but they get you in the ball park.

I'm guessing he doesn't have any suspension, I've never seen ANY thing tuck 15in rims before.
