Well gents, she has been faithful up until a couple months ago when the waterpump went out and she ran a little warm on me. After that I decided it was time to start a thorough overhaul to get her back up to par. This is what has been done so far, with WAY more to come. So, on to the pics.

The way it was

Engine was then fully disassembled for cleaning/prep/machinework (sorry no pics of that stage as it was done by the machine shop). Then the block was brought home after cleaning and decking and given a nice shot of high heat silver. Will have pics shortly. Still waiting on some parts to come in, but this is what has arrived so far.

OEM gasket set, OEM timing belt, OEM water pump, and N1 oil pump.

I am still waiting on quite a few parts and still searching for quite a few as well. If any of you happen to have a lower timing gear, a pickup tube, and a knock sensor harness you will sell please feel free to hit me up as I will be requiring those to be able to finish.

Also, just for fun this engine will be getting supercharged rather than turbo charged, just to see. This is only for fun just to see how it reacts to SC'ing , so none of the turbo>SC crap please. This will happen via an Eaton M90 from a 3.8l ford supercoupe. This pic was from before it was overhauled so its dirty in the pic.

Well I have seriously been considering this for the last year or two, just been waiting on an excuse. I actually have 3 different superchargers that I could use but I figured this one would suit the engine the best for the numbers im going for(300-350). The others are a Vortech v4 and an Eaton M112. The SC will be mounted just above the exhaust and will be driven off the PS or AC (both are gone anyway) location on the stock harmonic balancer for the time being. It might be a while until I get it up and going though, I am trying to wait until MS3 has native support of the Nissan CAS so I can tune with that, but I might go with Nistune. Any thoughts on the two? Also, thanks StricNyne for the info, ill have to look that up.

Looking nice Matt! Can't wait for the next update. Also regarding the CAS issue... we have the Ross hall effect Cam & Crank angle sensor kit that will work with both the OEM ECU/Power FC (with the converter box) or wire it straight into a stand alone. :) might be an option?

Ditto on the sensor kit Ricky, didn't see it on the site but sounds very interesting. Definately interested in it if it speeds the process. Also, any word on the Nismo FPR yet?

*Edit* Just went and looked on the Ross site, now I am definately interested. What is the price on this kit going to run?

We're still working out the pricing and packaging of the kit in a formal announcement. I'll keep you guys updated.

re: FPR, going to talk to Sean when he comes in to see the status on that one.
