Post

I turned 27 today, and for my birthday I decided to get my project going. Officially. So, on Saturday I went down to St Louis and picked up the heart of all this...

and heres my verts.

Picked em both up for cheap. Both autos. The black one has some serious rust issues, which I discovered afterwards. Will be my donor car, if needed. The white one is the car Im using for the swap. Aside from the few rust spots you see and needing a new top, I feel its a pretty good vert.

The build process will definately take me through the winter, tentatively.I will keep you all posted as things come in/change!!

Thanks for looking!

Mckinney is the way to go.I used those mounts in my vert with a RB25.I used there drive shaft aswell.I had absolutely NO issues with them at all.I highly recommend them.

use the syko kit. it has the mounts and adjustment brackets and it also has it sit lower. also, they give you a turbo elbow that allows it to clear the steering rack and you can use an sr downpipe. you can also get a driveshaft made for cheap too. only downside is that you need the r33 crossmember but in the long run, it holds better.

that's a really clean looking RB25. Nice choice!

Either the McKinney kit or the Syko kit are fine. Or build your own mounts!

Very nice. I actually had a dream last night that involved putting Nissan's 3.5 litre into my vert. Alas, it was only a dream...

Real awesome dude. Knows his stuff. If I need anything else and they have it, I will use again, for sure!! You can tell its about service/product reliability rather than just making money.

I sent you an email...

I was actually going to start an interest thread sometime about parts from the black vert I have. Seeing as how there is some rust issues..been tossing the idea around.

Hey clever, if you don't mind me asking, what you grabbing next wknd?

I'd be very interested in the trim, moulding, and weather stripping around the windshield.

I just checked out JDM hookup. Hopefully he can help me and Bill find some Evo 3 stuff...

The trim/windshield moulding on the black vert is actually missing already. sorry man.

As for the evo 3 stuff...if he doesnt have anything now, i do know that they are going back to chiba city(?) at the end of the month for another container shipment..maybe he could hook it up? wouldn't hurt to ask.
