The rear shot looks a lot like a low buck version of a Ferrari 512 Boxer Berlinetta.

The front end looks like either a NSX or a 2nd Gen MR2.

I don't care who thinks it's ugly. I want one. They totally should have put that into production.

Looks like a Delorean and a NSX had some weird inbred baby...I think its ugly. Better then a Skyline.....good god son, rarity doesn't make it better, just more expensive.

The magazines touted it as a possible 300ZX but I don't think Nissan ever intended to produce them. They were show pieces that were used to show off new technology.

Too bad. They could be dream pieces like the BMW M1.

I remember the M1, beautiful car. Reggie, do you remember the Mercedes C111?

C-111 with a three rotor wankle engine (I think). That was back when every body expected the rotary engine to really take off.

Even GM tried. Remember the Monza? It had a huge center tunnel to accommodate a rotary that never came.

Yep. Good memory. Speaking of Monza's I had a 76 Skyhawk long long ago, which had the Chevy Monza turtle shell hatchback body, but with a V-6 and a 5 speed. Hate to admit it, but it was a fun car.

The V8 version of that car was a real BEAST!! It accelerated and went straight pretty well but would not turn worth a damn!!

I grew up in the mountains of NC. Not being able to turn was a bad thing. "He was driving a V8 Monza" was a legit cause of death on a death certificate.

This is why I've always prefered cars that handle and stop well.

You're right. Pretty funny. I also remember that you could not get access to the back two sparkplugs in the V-8 Monza unless you lifted the engine. Those wacky GM engineers. The V-6 was a little more reasonable, and handled a little better.

Nissan made the car as a test platform for all the new technology coming out. the first one saw a production run of 2, a red one and an off-white one. and it had the VG motor, newly designed ATTESA and HICAS. the car handled very well and was pretty damn fast. the MID4-II saw a production run of just 1 silver model. all of them are in a museum in Japan. it later went on to see its goods used in the Bluebird, Skyline, Silvia, Z32, and many other cars. Testors made a model kit of it, but its hard to find.
