With my last setup I noticed on the dyno charts and datalogging that I was losing a bit of fuel pressure as RPMs + fuel supply went up. I realise I could probably rewire the fuel relay to supply more power and that might help, but I was thinking about possibly just taking the next step for a more serious fuel supply.

This would probably include bigger fuel lines all the way from the tank, and a better pump. Not sure what the "next step" would be as far as pumps though. I was thinking possibly a dual pump setup in-line, or perhaps a whole new pump setup on the bottom of the fuel tank. Donno.

Anyone have any experience with this next step, and perhaps could offer a suggestion that both works well and is reletavly economical?

I would think the most economical would be the hardwiring of the fuel pump, but for MASS ammounts of fuel i think you could run an additional fuel pump, not in line with the other one, and run another line all the way from the tank up to your fuel rail or FPR, but then youd need another nipple or something on the fuel rail/FPR to accept the other line. This should effectively give you double the fuel when you need it. I just cant see you needing that much fuel, when anthony seems to be doing fine with just the hardwire kit.. or does he have something els?

i have a single walbro currently, it is hardwired. my dyno guy was watching my inline fuel pressure gauge and siad it was not dropping off, it might have been a few psi but nothing serious.

i bought another walbro to run two intank pumps, but im still debating how to run them the best way. i would much rather something like an aeromotive a1000 inline or by itself.

what i also have been thinking of is just running a fuel cell in the trunk with AN lines, and ditch all the stock stuff

a setup you menthing with the pump under the tank like ricks is also a good idea

what you have to be sure to check with some of the serious pumps out there is if they can be ran continuously. some are made only for drag racing and dont like to be ran for a long time. others, like ricks (forget what he has now) and i suppose brad's a1000 is that they can be run continuously for extended periods of time.

Two pumps, surge tank and big lines...not to expensive really Fiz. You can build a surge tank pretty easily and the line is pretty cheap through Summit. I'm using two Holley external pumps and the BBK255 in tank to feed the surge tank.

I run a Magnafuel EFI 600 with fittings on the bottom of the fuel tank for the external pump. Never had another problem feeding the 1600cc Injectors yet. Fuel pressure is solid to 85psi, which is where it should be with my setup. A more economical setup would be twin intank pumps like the supra guys do.

Fiz, just run a Z32 fuel pump.

Walbro's cant supply the pressure, but a Z32 pump can.

The Z32 pump will also run even better at 16 volts.

You'll run out of turbo long before you run out of Walbro. Just make sure you get some goo wires running to it and you'll be fine. Bigger fue lines wont do you any good unless you wallet is so big that it hurts to sit down.

i agree with Alan about the z32, i read somewhere about a guy having a 1000hp vg30dett on the stock fuel pump...dont know how much the vg has in common with the ka for comparison but its something

Youre running 1600 cc injectors on a KA-T? WTF are you running for boost and how can it handle that much?
