so i went today and im now and temp the owner of 2 J30s. i met up with the guy and got the title and key to the car.

here is where i wanna pull some of you guys thoughts. i hooked power up to it and the security light flashes and lights come on but when i turn the key absolutely nothing happens. no relays click...nothing. i knew it had an ignition issue so its no biggie to me. just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with similar issue. just from looking around i think it could be just a security issue and the car has been disabled. the radio head unit that was installed was pretty damn ghettorized. it was pitiful.

i didnt have much time to look directly at it because i spent most of the day getting my lowered suspension back on for z nationals. im getting a friend of mine to help me tow it home and get it next to my house. ill start working on it a little tomorrow and next sunday. ill get it home and up on 4 jack stands and cover it up. this project is gonna be fun! :D

Well I know batt is shot I believe but i had my other J30 hooked up to it to give it power and nothing clicks. I sort of don't see how it could be starter. I think it has something to do with the radio and security system still. Even if starter is gone the starter relays will still click.

You might try swapping in a known good battery.
There was a guy awhile back with the same issue, And the battery was the culprit.
Volts were there but Amps weren't.
Even jumping, a dead cell or two will hold her down.

I have a boner right now.

How much did the front suspension collectively cost you?

-EVO VIII Camber Plates - $200 shipped
-S13 Coilovers -$250 used off a 240 forum here in Atlanta
-S14 Spindles -$150 used from a junkyard in PA
-S14 Bolts/Nuts -$30 from Nissan Parts Online
-S14 Tie Rod Endlinks -$80 from Advanced Auto
-S14 LCA Ball Joints -$60 from Advanced Auto
-J30 LCA -$20 from junkyard
-300zx Front Sway Bar -$100 maybe (I got mine for free by giving a friend a J30 balance tube off the '97 I wrecked)
-S13 Sway Bar Endlinks -$30 from Advanced Auto

So about $920 over the past 6 months piecing it all together bit by bit.
