Toyotas just refuse to die! I love my Nissans but I got respect for Toyota man, My wives 20-valve 4AG has blown the oil filter off twice and I can still hang with a few Skylines.:pface

It just has a very small diameter filter and no matter how hard I screw it, it still blows:D RX7s seem to do the same thing, my freind uses a hose clamp and safety wire to keep the dink filter screwed onto his 20BI was using standard Fram filters but the Mobil 1 filter I put on last oil change is good to go. It has an O-ring seal instead of the square-shaped ring on the budget Fram and it obviously makes a difference.

I had an FJ20 Silvia like that, drank a quart a week. I just started dumping whatever I had in it left over from oil changes on other cars. That's one good thing about bad rings you never have to change the oil it's an ongoing process!

bleh, I find Fram to be the devil...

I hear the quality is supposed to be getting better but good god...

ever hear about them getting blocked and causing oil pressure to just drop and kill motors?

they do have the grippy foam though:D

i used to use fram, but that was when i was driving the POS tempo. Hell, I was about ready to save some money and get the Wal-mart brand oil for it, but that would have required me to care enough to change it myself. half the time, i took it somewhere
