Hey hi everyone as the tile says I’ am new here to the forum and I was thinking of getting a S13 and doing a SR20 swap but like I say I’m new to Nissan the reason why I’m so interesting in doing the swap was because I went to a drift meet and fell in love with the S13 and SR20. I have now a 90 mustang 5.0 with a lot of mods so I do know my mechanics. But I will like some opinions thanks

I have not done much aftermarket to my 240 yet. Mostly because it is my DD and a lot of my time and money go into my Nova. Honestly the SR is a good motor but just make sure you don't limit your options. There are a a few good options out there for the s13. Start with the dual cam ka and see how you like it. Then go from there.

well if u just want to put a sr20 and go out and drift, i suggest that you buy a 240sx shell and get a sr swapped in and slap some coilovers on that b**** and tear up the track...

but if you want the 240 as a DD you should rethink making it a track/ drift car cuz its not worth fukn up your investment... but if its a track/ weekend car make that s*** tokyo drift

Yeah I concur with you bro. Cause my stang is my DD and well maybe I can make the S13 to but for sure for the track either drift or time attack or both. But my plans are get a crapy S13 and drive to cali in a uhaul and bring my front clip with the SR20 on the back!!

Thanks for your opinion but idk a miata? Is there a lot of suspension parts for them? Can I make it handle like a go-cart?

miatas are so underrated when it comes to being a track car.theyre really light, and there is a lot of aftermarket support

well In the SCCA division, the miata is one of the most common cars to compete but they are not a universal performing car,. When it comes to drifting, the miata is a poor car to go with unless you have been driving one for all your life and you can drift your dads 1970 ford ltd. They are 4ft long and 150lbs, holding a consistent angle takes alot of practice and determination. Yea they have a big aftermarket selection for parts but what import doesnt? Thats not a good reason to have a miata, deciding on how well they perform with what you wanna do with it, is where they get down rated and passed to the side.

I'm think just gonna stop talking about all the cars that are better than or equal to 240's and let ppl remain blissfully ignorant.

Vortec heads, edelbrock intake, Ceramic coated headers with a full 3" exhaust x pipe. Speed pro pistons, Turbo 350 trans with a stage 2 shift kit. Basically 395ish horse. with some stupid high rear gears that will be replaced with some 3.73's soon. She is an orginall SS with all numbers matching with factory A/C and cruise. Pretty much every option they had in 76 minus power windows. Post some more pics of your 5.0

Welcome to Nico fellow El Pasoan!

I'm one of, possibly, three SR owners here in El Paso. The swap itself is easy to do. If you ever get one hit me up with an email, and I'll be more than willing tohelp.

BTW, when you do find an S13, make sure there is no rust and that the frame rails are not damaged. Use good judgment when looking into purchasing one.G/L with search
