Hi guys. Just wanted to take a minite to introduce myself. I am purchasing a 91 240SX this week with a CA18DET 90% swapped in. The body is pretty rough with a dull black Maaco paint job a few years ago and some minor 1/4 panel damage. But, I'm not buying it to be a beauty queen just yet. My goal is to jump right into the performance parts and try to sort out a fairly cheap path to 300rwhp. The car is currently bone stock, or less.

My current cars include a 88 Celica All-Trac (no pics), a 273 rwhp (mild mods) 93 MR2 , and a 500 RWHP 91 turbo MR2 .

So on to the current questions:

1. The previous owner of my car ditched the power steerig and the A/C. Will KA parts fit? Or do I need CA parts? The car has Super HICAS too..I may get the welder out and build an eliminator bar.

2. WTF is up with the car sitting 6 inches high in the front? DO I need SR/CA springs to make up for the non-pickup-turck motor up front?

3. Is there a need for a chip tuning service for CA's with larger injectors/differnt MAF's? I am a TECHTOM ROM dealer. We've had lots of luck tuning MR2 ECU's (try 20 rwhp and 40 lb ft. or torque at the same boost level). However the MR@ US ECU's are VERY VERY conservative...probably originally made to run on 89 octane.

Thanks,

Aaron

Is the engine in the car and its still sitting high?? Not really sure why it woudl be that high with all the weight up there... When everything is removed, it does look like a 4x4.

Oh, and welcome to the club... =)

Welcome aboard Aaron. I don't know why the front end sticks up like that go look at my car and it all sits evenly maybe some of the suspension components need replacing???

You will need CA a/c and p/s pumps to get it to work. You will also need CA and KA A/C lines and have them spliced together to have working A/C. The P/S, just run KA lines to it and the rack and be done.

Nice SW20s, btw.
