This is to be the Batmobile in summer 2005's Batman Begins. The movie takes place during Bruce Wayne's first year as Batman, and as such the Batmobile will lack the refinement of previous cars. The current idea is that this car started as a Wayne Industries military prototype called the "Tumbler," and measures 9' wide, 15' long, and weighs 2.5 tons. Performance is listed with a 220 mph top speed and 500 horsepower engine. This Batmobile is also to have substantial armor, offensive weapons, and off-road & jumping capabilities.
