I am really excited for 2011 films this year. Those I didn't mention I either haven't heard enough about them or I am not looking forward to them.

NICO, what are you excited for?

X-Men first class is being filmed on Jekyll Island, like 20 minutes from my house. A kid I know rear-ended Kevin Bacon's van. Haha.

Extra Bacon perhaps?

Little Red sounds very interesting...

Conan seems like it will be butchered by Hollywood

Sherlock Holmes 1, scale of 1-10 how good was it? I am interested in seeing it.

On a scale of 1 to 10 id give Sherlock Holmes a 7.5. They pulled off Holmes odd duck character very well. Much like the current (and more Novel accurate) portrayal of James Bond by Daniel Craig, Sherlock Holmes was not always a prim and proper Brit. Guy Richie makes this a grim and gritty film.

Also I forgot to mention, it seems that the New X-men movie is being directed remotely which is gonna cost the film franchise dearly. Ive read that the director isn't onset. He is halfway across the globe directing other stuff and he is taking footage from the days filming and editing it. That doesn't sound good.... :squint:

The sets for the new X-Men movie are pretty cheap looking. I don't have any experience with Hollywood movie sets, but from what I've heard and seen, everything looks cheap. I hope they have a great production team. I'm interested to see what the finished product will look like and how many people I can spot in the film that I know.

I'm curious to see how Super 8 turns out. Also looking forward to Deathly Hallows 2. The new Pirates should be good, particularly since Legolas won't be in it.

I'll avoid Transformers 3 like the plague. I fully expect them to graduate to half the script being masturbatlon jokes. And I made the mistake of borrowing the Tranformers 2 DVD from a friend. I want my soul back. Genuine top-5 worst movies material right there.

What the crap is the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo about anyway? Everyone talks about it, yet it seems like no one has actually read it.

It was excellent. 8 out of 10. Maybe 8.5. Characters are great, the mystery was interesting, and the directing was top-notch. Jude Law is the best Watson to appear on screen.

I was not aware that this was really being made. I REALLY liked the short film "trailer" that was filmed, but it got mixed reviews online. I was under the impression that there were no plans to make a new MK film.

If they do make it, I like the idea of making the characters "realistic" like the short film. It was a very interesting take on the original characters.

For those who haven't seen the "trailer"

EDIT: Only thing that I could find was a rumor of 2013 on IMDB

No way. I can think for 5 worse movies than that.

5) Batman and Robin
4) Dragon Ball
3) Street Fighter (live action)
2) Catwoman
1) Gigli

im not defending Transformers 2 in anyway. Im just sayin....

Transformers 2 was way worse than Batman and Robin. And that's not defending the Batman movie either.

He's probably only a 5 mile drive from where I sit right now. You guys want me to go get him?

But seriously, when the trailer for Super 8 first came out, I was in the theater about to see some movie. There were 3 rather large black women sitting at the end of the row I was on. At the end of the trailer, when something was banging on the side of the train car, one of them says very loudly "What's in the train car?" in a rather... southern way. I about died laughing.

I thought the latest Batman movie was set to be released later this year?

I'm looking forward to:
Thor
Captain America
Fast Five
Battle for Los Angeles
Pirates of the Caribean III
Harry Potter 7 part 1
Green Lantern

The girlfriend won't shut up about Twilight Breaking Dawn Pt. 1

I too would like to know what this Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is about, apparently it's the first of a whole series.

IMDb The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and read the quick description.

I loved it. I saw the whole series with sub titles and enjoyed it. Not sure the average American viewer would appreciate it so they will most likely change it a bit.
