At work, on break. Need to vent.
So I realized today what the most impotant thing to me is, and that drives me nuts. The ambiguity drawn back, shows that I am both shallow and very much alone. I walk outside JUST to look at my S13. I skip class to work on it. I make my girlfriend buy lunch so I can get brake pads. I blow off friends and call in sick to work to tinker and slide. I guess I just want to see if this is normal, or if I am totally lost and losing my damn mind. Advice from the older car owner would be nice, but other college age folks are welcome to toss in their $.02.

I wouldn't continue to skip class or call in sick to work, but the rest seems fairly normal.
Does the girlfriend ever give you that look: "stop talking about your car now" ?
Mine would always tell me that I have all day with the car, but now it's time to show her some attention and forget about cars for a while. The girl is gone, the cars live on...

Hahahahahahah I get that alllllll the time! Last weekend she made me promise not to talk about my car for the ENTIRE weekend.. It was total BS I tell ya!
But yeah man I know what you're talkin about, and I'm even farther removed from my car. It's like 90 miles away from me at home, tucked away under her car cover in the garage, waiting for me to come home next (who knows when thats gonna be...). I think about her all the time, and it DEFINETLY gets in the way of other stuff. I wanna say that it's a problem, me thinking about her so much, but I just cant even bring myself to do that... arugh I have a nice pic of her as my computer wallpaper... lookin all good and stuff... I cant stand it!
The latest offence is that I gave up my spring break to work for the KA-T... I signed on for 72 hours at work so far, and I'm hoping for more. I wanna make $1200 in just a single week and pay for most of the rest of the stuff I need... ahh maybe that will satisfy the addiction (nope).

I can see myself being the same way. I used to wake up at 2,3 4AM and just go out and drive for the hell of it. Now, I don't have a car running decently enough to go 2 miles, and it drives me crazy. I kinda don't want to know how I will be when I get my S13 tho! I am going to hate it, cuz most likely I will be getting one in the near future, and I don't have my license yet. Having to stare at it all day, not able to drive it. I don't have any friends at school or near my house right now that care if their car is a cavalier or a civic, thats why I spend my time here on NICO. Everytime I drive it makes me want to drive an S13 more, especially since I drove my friends a couple of years ago back in my hometown....sucks being stranded around stupid people!

420_240sx man at least when you get your car youll be able to drive it year round. im goin nutz cuz ive been tinkering on the car all winter, and no drive time. its just too cold/salty/snowy here. im trying to find a girl that likes cars so i dont look like such a maniac, cuz thats all i talk about. and every cent i have goes towards it. (talk about priorities outta whack)
I kinda like that my girl isnt all into cars... I share so much stuff with her already, it's kinda nice to have something just for me and my guy friends, ya know? She wants to "help me do something to the car one of these days.." I guess I'll find something- but I'd still rather keep my 'girlfriends' apart, ya know?
