Here is one kick *** mod project some guy is doing to his altima. He's installing a whole computer system in the dash with movie, wifi, bluetooth, snes gamepad, gps, satradio and he's adding a sub to the car with lots of custom fabrication. It's the big daddy of all modding projects currently for the altima coupe .

if he can pull it off and have everything neat, I'll be impressed. Takes a lot of know how to do it right. He def sounds like he knows what he's doing. The "el cheapo" in dash monitor leaves something to be desired though.

after you've been involvedwith car audio video as long as i have, you can tell quality products from a distance. Not just by name, but by sight.

WHen did touch panel = quality. The deck is nice, pioneer's premiere decks are cool, the entire lineof them, but that monitor doesn't fit, that's all.

here's a few reviews from the site where he picked it up

"The unit works great with VGA inputs. The RCA video inputs however do not work on my unit. I've tried multiple sys, xbox 360, ps2, and a digital camera. None of which worked. The VGA however works great. Don't know if I just got a bad unit or what."

"the first thing I noted pulling it out of the box was that the metal housing was bent out of shape. Then I noticed that there was a nick in the plastic on the front. I could have lived with these two as once installed they wouldnt be noticable however when turning it on, the LOUD motor seemed to limp with a modulating whine as the lcd opened to reveal what looks like gear teeth marks accross 3" of the screen. done. returning for xenarc."

"when you spend as much time as i know i did planning investigating installing and well dreaming about what the end product of your labors will be then to have to deal with what is the front end devise of your system that is extremely difficult to see in any sun light constantly looses calibration of its touch screen drivers and often has to be physically turned on and off to reset what was supposed to be an auto calibration feature. well !!!!!!!"

I only put the reviews as a point of reference... bottom line, this is not a high end product... will it work, yes, is it cheap.. H*LL yes! No serious modder would spend this kind of money on such a cheap product... on ebay, this unit would probably go for about $100.00

If indeed he spent the 449.00 as listed on this website, then he is ignorant of both quality & price when it comes to car audio and video!
