My QX4 is getting expensive repairs done to it at 130,000 miles, is it worth it?

As you know about 4,000 miles ago I got my head basically rebuilt with new valves, camshafts, and crankshaft for $2,000.

Last week the car pulled some codes for new ignition coils ($2,000) and I got broken into over thanks giving. It's $400 to replace the lock, and $500 to replace my tailgate lock assembly (jammed). Everything else on the car is in good condition. The paint looks brand new, and the interior is still pristine. What should I do?

Agreed. :yesnod I only had to change my #5 coil, which seemed the easiest to get to, in 15 minutes on my first try. I think it took me longer to find the section in the FSM to figure how to do it.
But honestly, $2000 is too ridiculous to get new coils and installed. But, it's never unheard of.
Good luck. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Got Bass?

Shouldn't have showcased your system like you did. Probably why you got broken into.

Get a '90s model civic. Reliable. Cheap as hell. Relatively easy to mod/ work on in general. You think I'm being an as$hole, I know, but I'm actually giving you my honest advice on what I think you should do.
Someone your age, IMHO, shouldn't have something like a goddamned QX4. I had a '95 Subaru Legacy with 256,000 miles on it and a severe oil leak. Then I got my first Z. You were handed a nice car, after dorifto-ing your other also nice car into something in your school's parking lot. You need to own a FWD econo-box. Better gas mileage, cheaper repairs, cheaper upkeep, cheaper insurance (not like you pay for half of that, but still). Altogether a better plan for someone like you.

hey guys i have a bad spark plug, the mechanic says its $2000 to fix

should i fix it or buy a new car which i will get ripped off on just as bad

(but really, only one coil out of the six has gone bad. buy one coil and swap them out one by one til you find the bad one. $100 in parts and 20 minutes labor. no need to buy all 6 coils)
