From the talk shows I'm hearing, Reid's is trailing any and all of the 3 Republican candidates in Nevada. I think my Litmus test here is how the black/African American/ colored people community leaders are acting. I haven't heard any serious backlash or condoning statements from leaders such as Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson... yet.

I see where you are going with this one, so I'll answer you by saying that Barak was the only guy that Reid was referring to in his notes. Not all african american were offended or felt that Reid was directing his comments to them, so with that being said………. Yes, Barak was the only "black guy" in the nation that the comment was directed to.

But it has to be uniformly practiced. The media needs to be more objective ... not biased and not create polarization by their reporting.

By the way, I am not the only noticing this interesting one-sided bias. Even our San Jose ultra-liberal newspaper (the San Jose Mercury News) had this article today: http://www.mercurynews.com/search/ci_14191968. It was in print in the Editorials section of the paper.

It's like they are finally feeling guilty about this too!
