"Brian,

All of our sensor electronics work with any car. Our door handle replacements that fit perfectly with the body, do have to match specific models. We do not have the 2008 Nissan Altima currently, but if you arranged a group buy, we would move it up on the priority list. Otherwise, you would use one of our universals in the mirror, or front, or side glass. Then shave the handles in the traditional method.

Let us know what you would like to do.

By the way. The Altima is a great looking car! '"

This is a pretty neat idea, but the first thing I thought of is what happens if it breaks down for some reason. Wiring comes loose, or unit stops working. You won't be able to get into your car anymore! Maybe crawl through the trunk..lol. Cool concept though

If you watch the demo video, you see that they have to pull on the door from the sides to open it... kinda seems like a bigger inconvenience than anything, since we already have the button on our door, it's already pretty easy for us to open the doors. To each his own I guess.

Could be cool for a show car, but yeah it does seem inconvenient to have to pull on the frame of the door to open it...

how is it any more "inconvenient" than pulling on the door handle? the purpose is opening a door with the handles shaved, which looks so much cleaner.

Sweet! Now I can have thumbprints all over my doors that take focus away from my shiny paint job!

I guess, but the sensor itself has its own outlines that show on the body of the car. You can see this in their demo video on what looks like a Chrysler 300 (God there's too many of these on the road, everyone thinks they look so hot until everyone and their mom has one).

The added inconvenience is due to the fact that we can grab the handle, press the button on the handle to unlock the door, and just pull, all in one motion, where as the sensor requires a touch, then pull out the door. If anything, after shaving your door handles, the cleanest look would be just having a remote with an open button? I think that's the more traditional way of having shaved door handles too.

its not just touching the door that opens it.. you would also have to unlock the doors first... the proximity touch-dongle thing probably wouldnt work after you take the handles off...

I never said it was cool or good lol... just wanted to bring it to the table.. you guys should be creative and find manufacturers to bring to the forum! Its easy, and you get free ****e from it!
