Three weeks ago, I finally passed the magic number: 200000 miles. (insert lame chair dance) Still runs great, slight idle problem and way out of alignment, but those details will be taken care of this weekend.Anyone else out there hit the magic 200000 mark?

Ajax, have you replaced your timing chain yet??? I've got 150k on mine and rattle is getting pretty bad, but I don't have money to fix it right now :( just wondering if all you guys w/ 200+ have made it w/out doing any timing chain work? (not that I plan on waiting that long)

That's incredible. Your car must be really nice and have been well kept.

I wish I could say the same for mine.

I sold my hatch at 197,000. Replaced the chain at 170,000. The biggest reason to replace the chain guides is because it will eat a hole in the timing cover and let water get into the block and mess it all up. So I would fix it as soon as possible.

My odo shows 150 something. Of course it hasen't worked right since I got the car, ie: stops and starts whenever it pleases. I know there's a fix for it but am too lazy to take the cluster out. :) I'm sure it has closer to 200k on it and I just bolted a turbo onto it. I had the head off about 6 months ago and replaced the entire valve train, compression was decent so I left the bottom end alone for now. We'll see how it holds up with a little boost on it. :D

i have 144342 on my 92. had to go move my car as i was reading this. i have replaced the chain because the timing chain guide was broken in two pieces. just have small oil leak somewhere and vavle is tapping. other than that it runs great. oh yeh and the infamous idleing problem.
