I've been contemplating roof or trunk. We carry bikes only. Went with trunk because I don't like having to lift the bike overhead so much, prefer not to risk driving into my garage with the bikes on the roof, and it's easier to remove the trunk rack.

BTW we can't see the photos you posted. I just see the text Image.

Yea I agree, lifting the bikes on to the roof can be aggravating. It's similar for my longboard because it's kinda heavy. lol but it thankfully fits in my garage.

And thanks i'll have to correct the images. LOL

There...I think I fixed it now :P

Hey Godfoot what are you using for roof racks? I looked on Thule and Yakima sites and they only offer trunk set ups for my 09 m35x. By the way this is my first post here and my first Infiniti.

I was thinking about this a while back. I haven't seen any racks specific for our cars. What do you guys use?

Found these online they say they will fit. I'll put it on my wish list. I do a great deal of skiing and mountain biking so these look possible.

What rack did you get?

I've been thinking about joining the bike world to get some exercise, but couldn't really find anything I trusted.

I've also been considering getting a kayak...so OP, what rack is that?

I plan to buy the above listed rack with ski/snowboard attachment and at least one bike rack. I hope this link works. Would like to hear from any other m35 or m45 owners that have any experience with this rack. My last car 06 Mazda 6 hatch I had an awesome Thule rook rack with faring and it worked really well .

For the Y51 crowd, I don't think think there is a specific mount for our cars yet (for bikes that is)..... I recently went to one of our local bicycle shops and the guy did a search for me over the next two days. As we had expected, he didn't see anything available for sale, that was specific to our cars.

The option that he gave me was this...http://www.seasucker.com/shop/1187/ . This guy owns a Mustang GT500 and states this is what he uses on his car (not the car in the video!).

I think it's kinda pricey, but he claims it works and says that he hasn't had any issues with his. He didn't sell them, so this leads me to believe he is probably speaking of his true experience.

When I get around to it, I will eventually purchase one, because the area around my home is not too bike friendly.

It let me select Y51 (M 11-13). I hope their info is accurate.

I bought a simple Thule trunk rack http://www.rackattack.com/product-pages ... p-rack.asp

This is only used for transporting our mountain bikes to a place with a bit more hills. Most of the time I ride my roadies right from home. The best way to exercise with bikes is find a great, safe route and start by riding out 10-15miles or more and work your way up.

and then also purchase the MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier (RBC035) also?

Thanks man.

We have some nice bike paths here that I'd like take advantage of. Now that I'm 27 and not a spry chicken, but still eat like I am (looking at you, Mr. Ronald McDonald), I need a way to burn this stuff off lol.

If you gotta have a rack on a sedan, that doesn't look half bad. :yesnod
