hey i was wondering if any or many of you have put in HID headlights for your altima? i could get a kit for about $180 CDN plus install, but not sure if the kit is worth it. i looked at canadian tire and looked for the sylvannia SILVERSTAR lights. in their manual they don't have one listed for the low beam 02+ altimas. my mechanic referred me to a guy and he said that the H1st bulb from sylvannia would work for my car. is this true?? has anyone used this bulb?? i don't light the "yellow" look of the faded factory halogen bulbs and my mechanic told me that these SILVERSTAR bulbs wold be better than putting in aftermarket HID's.

any thoughts or suggestions?

thanks

I had the same dislike for the "yellow light" look in both my Pathfinder and Sentra. Part of it is just the bulbs getting old and fading a bit.Regardless, I went to Canadian Tire and bought some Sylvania Halogen Xtra Vision bulbs.I'm pretty happy with them. They throw more light, and the light is white, not yellow. I see better with them, and the white light looks better too.Go Sens.

I had silverstars in both my fogs and headlights. Then I upgraded to HIDs and there is a huge difference in light output. The HIDs make the silverstars look yellow.

Stillen is pretty effen expensive. You can find parts that are just as good for a much better price.
