Our aluminum differential mounting bushings will hold the differential solidly to the subframe, to significantly reduce wheel hop and improve power transfer to the ground. Excessive movement of the differential during hard launches can damage the drive shaft and half shafts.

Okay, that's pretty cool. A set of those, some subframe spacers and a couple other items and I should be wheel-hop free. However, when are you going to have prices and availability for the rear stabilizer bar endlinks?

Also, are you going to make your own version of the DoLuck rear cross bar because $300+ is stupid expensive for a piece of steel!!

The endlinks are on the "to-do" list and best case scenario on them is roughly $120 - $150 per set.

We have no intention of making the rear cross bars, I'm a firm believer that you should opt for a roll bar and improve safety and chassis rigidity.

god.. I could really use some of these, since my bushings are torn.

I don't think I quite understand how these bushings work though. IIRC, the z32 differential on my s13 has no rubber between itself and the subframe(except for the metal/rubber washers). So I don't see how it solidifies the differential's up and down movement...

However, it seems like it would help solidify the twisting motion, but don't the rear cover mounting locations do that?

I'm not dogging your product, I'm just trying to better understand the concept.

the s14's anmd Z32 sub frames have diffy bushings....

you do not, you have an s13.

what it does, is since the differnetial is trying to twist when you launch off the line, it eliminates the bouncing/rebound effect from the rubber bushings by removing the slop and things...

like metal sub frame bushings, it'll probably firm up the ride quit a bit when you hit bumps and things.-chet

Not really, if you think about it all they do is prevent the movement of the differential. If the differential doesn't move there is no force transmitted to the driver. Even when the differential DOES move there is very little force that you can feel... drive a Z31 and you'll know

I'll have to ask the tester about ride quality, but I can't see any way it can cause a degradation.

Hello,

Is there any way that you can post a pic of the installed set? I'm still not quite sure how it goes in. I left my FSM at my friend's house and he won't be home for another week and a half........

Thanks!

when i put the subframe collars in last night with the radio off i can hear a whine, i think its the diff, wow do those things make a difference. i bet u'd get more noise with these solid diff bushings, no like that matters or anything

So do S13's have the diff solidly mounted to the subframe? I haven't really looked at mine too closely, and I'd have to scrape off 1/2" of 13 yr old gunk to see what's going on back there anyway.

I installed my subframe collars on my car and in 4th gear from ~2k-2.5k and decellerating the diff gets excited around the drivetrain's natural frequency. Got VERY loud after putting in the collars, like easily hear it on the track with a helmet on and everything else going on. It's almost unbearably loud on the street if you're not in the mood for noise. I personally kinda like it.

Moral of the story, don't go with an unsprung clutch unless you want some nasty sounds.

yup, just metal to metal on S13's. Also, the diff's position to the subframe makes it impossible to reach the filler hole btw. Worst idea ever.

i have no problem reaching the filler hole. Just use a 3" 1/2" drive extension. The diff is designed to have the oil changed with the differential out of the car. If you do it in the car, you need a pump to get the oil in.

Anyways, Allen. My S13 diff has no rubber bushings holding it to the subrame. And the FSM doesn't show any bushings between the subframe and the diff. Or are these spacers supposed to go between the diff and the chassis (the two front most mounts)?

i was staring at the spl adj endlinks with the clicker on the add to cart, but i have a question, how do you adjust `em?

also it says "We are currently working on developing a cheaper version" so there is going to be a cheaper version, maybe ill wait for those instead.

They adjust the preload of the sway bar, you do that by shortening or elongating them. They also reduce the amount of play in the sways endlinks which makes the bar more effective.

The cheaper version is being persued but we are not sure when they will be available.
